An Authentic Review on Natural Toothpaste

This post may contain affiliate links, however it is NOT sponsored. So even though I may make a small percentage on each purchase at no extra cost to you, I was not paid to write this review nor pick a specific toothpaste. These opinions are 100% mine and there was no monetary gain.

I was on a hunt for a good natural toothpaste once my oldest daughter started getting cavities. I wanted something to remineralize, and clean. I wanted for me, something to whiten. I’ve tried a lotttttt of different brands. And I’ve even tried making my own! My homemade one had things like:

Let me just tell you, me and my kids tried it 3 times and couldn’t bear the taste anymore. My husband wouldn’t even try it! So we moved onto the next best thing…

I have a friend who makes a propolis spot treatment! You can find that here. My kids didn’t love the taste of it, but a friend of ours kids literally eats it and she has to hide it from her daughter. I just love naturally raised homeschool kids, they’re so quirky and cool.

We opted for this brand instead, when remineralizing a cavity. It has virtually no flavor! Which is great. And we saw huge improvements with this tooth putty.

Anyways, back to toothpaste. So we started off with Jack and Jill when my kids were toddlers and then coral when they got old enough for that (I think it was over 2).

We’re not sure which one led to the cavities. But we definitely strayed away from coral just because of the cavities (not saying that’s the one that caused it, but it was the one we were using so we just stopped).

Then there was quite a few random one time purchases on Amazon, let’s just say they weren’t very noteworthy.

Then we moved onto wellnesse brand. It was great! It has hydroxyapatite which will strengthen your teeth, which is great for my cavity sensitive daughter, and me, since my teeth are very sensitive. The mint one would sometimes taste like mold though, but I’m not sure if that’s because I was already full of mold (a story for another time, I’m sure).

I saw a huge change in my daughter’s teeth when using wellnesse! However, it was so expensive we decided to find something different.

Then we found the lumineux brand. Which is what we used for awhile because of speed of delivery (thanks Amazon!), cost and effectiveness. Or so we thought. While my husband still uses and loves the mouthwash and the toothpaste, me and the girls cannot.

We switched back to wellnesse recently because my one daughter seems to get cavities pretty easily (and had to have an extraction!) and I have very sensitive teeth. The lumineux brand was making my teeth so sensitive, but the wellnesse brand doesn’t. So, I guess it’s worth it.

We love using these toothbrushes and I just have them set to a subscribe and save, so they show up every month. I’d eventually love to get these, but I’m still debating if that’s necessary.

So now here we are, using both wellnesse and lumineux, and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
